Thank you for your request regarding being unblocked from using the free version of TeamViewer. Just saw this in my inbox when I got home tonight: It's a real PITA not being able to assist somebody in their mid-80's when they run into trouble. I get the same 'commercial' use message whether I try to connect when I'm on my static IP at home and 2000 miles from the remote computer, or if I'm in the same room as the remote computer (when I travel to visit family).

I wonder if TV hates me because I DON'T having a gmail or yahoo type of email address. I wonder if Teamviewer has a problem with how I stay organized. anything I receive from TV automatically gets filed in a Teamviewer email folder.same for HP, IBM, etc. This way I can easily see whose e-mail servers have been hacked, and I also automatically filter incoming e-mail into mail folders by vendor - eg. To further muddy the waters, I set up e-mail aliases for every company I deal with in the form of and then I forward that to my real e-mail address.

I noticed that my issues didn't begin until the relative I was supporting switched from cable to fiber (from a different provider) at far higher U/L and D/L speeds, and different IP range. Their personal use T&C's are pretty insistent about use even in a home office being classified as 'commercial', but then they say that strictly personal use is ok.so which is it actually? I get the same 'commercial' use message whether I try to connect when I'm on my static IP at home and 2000 miles from the remote computer, or if I'm in the same room as the remote computer (when I travel to visit family) personal use in whole/part based on the IP range, speed of connection, or type of e-mail address you might use to register. I'm wondering about whether TV classifies commercial vs.
